The word "soul" brings a religious connotation, but are humans the only species that are conscious of life and death? There is a lot of evidence that we are not alone. Animal Behaviorists studying Gorillas, elephants, porpoises and even dogs have found that there is evidence that they may have an awareness of death and may experience mourning. What do you think? What have you experienced firsthand?

Another "throw it out there" though, I have not had any comments and would love to share in this knowledge.
My first thoughts on this began with the fact of my own adoption. I only believe my adoptive parents were good guides in life. I am what I was genetically conceived. "Genetic Memory" was something I thought of myself and later learned on the internet that others were also thinking similar thoughts. I personally believe that we have a genetic history that pre-disposes each and everyone of us to a history of our genetic past. It is very simple. The most complex of thoughts are always that. I would love to discuss this further, and welcome ideas. This blog site should encougage the mind to further itself.

I'm just throwing this one out there...do you think we live pre-destined lives? Does a passion one had as a child become who we are as adults? I ask this because both my husband and I have had such a passion as children and both those passions have become or are becoming part of our adult lives, passions being a destiny, that is. My childhood pasion was horses, though I never rode a horse until I was 40 years old. Now I currently own seven horses and love to ride. MY husband as a child had always dreamed of being a Senator and is now currently attempting to pursue a political life.
It was his dream to fulfill a life in politics that got me thinking about this destiny thing. Is there anyone out there that also had a passion as a child that has become their destiny as an adult?

Life's passions need to be indulged on a daily basis or at least incorporated into your schedules. As simple as reading a few pages of a book you are bound and determined to finish or walking your dog and glancing at all that is around you. Many passions are linked to a goal which is a powerful motivating tool. Then you can begin a new book and hug your dog!
