 Darkness carries so much light
Back to Full Blog

If only we can see it
evening brings on thoughts
that only darkness shares.
The every day distractions
gone, no longer blinding us.

As we drift to the surface,
from water to air, we take a breath
suddenly afloat,
and from darkness to light,
we return.

Darkness carries so much light,
if only we can see it.
Only faith brings the torch.
It lights the way eternal,
no longer needing to see.

Only the yearning remains,
as we enter one realm to the next.
Hope in one, truth in the other.
Life taking form,
from faith. And, darkness carries so much light.

Beautiful N. Lynn.

I especially liked:
"Darkness carries so much light,
if only we can see it.
Only faith brings the torch."

Such hopeful words.

Good. I think walking in faith requires going into darkness in the sense that we can't see what's in front of us but have to rely solely on divine guidance. The light, pretty as it is, inviting as it may be, - if it is nothing but the light of our own ideas and our own wills - may lead us astray from that hidden road, to our peril.

I think I knew that - some paint with words, others use other mediums.

N.Lynn:

Love the connection between the dark and enlightenment as until we are brave enough to face the dark are we brave enough to live in the light.

You are a great writer, my friend.

Hi Me again, I was wondering, since you speak of the dark...Why do they call the period after the soon goes down "afterdark" shouldn't it be called "afterlight"?

The afterglow of your thoughts ...and words brought a nice bouquet of friends to serve up the pleasant moments of time spent with a friend.
I will not recoup my moment...(a formed response, but ultimately, this natural try will suffice). I am glad, I spent this time_ with you_ in the wonderful effort of your heart. Nicely done,n.lynn

I find great happiness in coming here to your sharing place. Great Sunday...Spring come soon! ...TR

n.lynn

I hope this finds you well.
Just thinking of you and thought I would send
a greeting. We are looking forward to spring here
and warmer temps soon. This is the time of year where
MN people start to feel that fever!

We have had a housemate for the last 6 months and she is gone now
this week. She up and moved to Australia... and we sheltered her until she
got everything lined up. I am hoping she does well there and I am glad to have
the home back too. We will miss her for a while.

Well, no need to go on but like I said,
just thinking of you and wanted to send greetings your way.
Take care dear.

I've always had this philosophy that the brief interlude when light begins to streak into the darkness, there is a threshold there of mystical powers.....either that or it's just me dreaming and not wanting to wake up! I hope you have a great evening!
